Dumpster, trash areas, and dumpster pads are an essential part of any restaurant, apartment complex or commercial facility but unfortunately are in clean sight to passersby and are often unpleasant, dirty and foul smelling. Trash areas should be cleaned not only for aesthetic reasons but also properly sanitized to prevent the spread of any bacteria like salmonella, e coli, and listeria and animal pests like rats, flies and insects.

It is important to keep in mind that there are preventative methods you can use to keep your dumpster pad area cleaned between pressure washing intervals. Try and use dumpsters with tight-fitting lids and keep closed at all times. This will prevent trash from overflowing onto the ground and wind from blowing the trash out. This will also help in keeping rodents out. After time, dumpsters will often rust along their bottom edges and result in holes making it easier for rodents to get in and trash to leak out.
